At the hospital

After Grant was born we ended up having to spend four days three nights in the hospital. That was more then plenty of time for me.  But now as I look back, those four days were so special! We had four days were we had no choice but to do nothing..... no places to be.......no house to clean....no dinner to cook... nothing. Four days with nothing but Grant to fill up our time. I think my most treasured thing about those four days was having Hank with me the whole time. I am so incredibly grateful for Hank's job, but being a farmer/rancher he is gone a lot with no days off. So having my whole family together for those days were amazing. I was on a rollercoaster of emotions , a bed full of ice packs and had a body covered in IV's during our stay at "hotel" ST. Lukas. So seeing Hank stepping up to take care of Grant was so special. Every time Grant would cry Hank would be the one to jump up to get him, either to rock him or bring him to me to eat.

All hooked up and ready to get the show started (little did I know it was going to be a very looooong show)

Grant had a few visitors come to meet him. Grandpa and Grandma Bingham came to visit but I haven't been able to get the pictures off my camera to work. So I will post the rest of those later.
All the Bingham cousin in one chair. These kiddos were so cute. They both were so excited to take turns to hold Grant.

2 months

It's crazy how much a baby can change in just 2 short month. Grant weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 19 inches long when he was born. At his 2 month checkup he weighed in at a whopping 13 pounds and 23 inches long! I was shocked! He has almost double his birth weight and has grown 4 inches....no wonder the kid loves to eat, he's growing like a weed.
The only way this guy sleeps.

I could watch him sleep all day.

Crying...yet still so cute!

His least favorite activity....tummy time.

this kid has so many funny faces

Check out them checks!

Nothing is sweeter then a baby smile

Grant

When Grant was 2 weeks old we got his pictures taken. They are to cute not to share!

I was nervous to get his pictures done. I didn't want to get 100 pictures of him screaming.....but my awesome little man slept almost through the whole thing!

He's here!

Okay so I know I am a little slow on updating whats been going on around here, but hey I just had a baby and he has a way of keeping me busy day/night.  If I'm lucky I can squeeze a fast shower in during his cat nap.
Rewind a month and four days and that's when the party began.......
Friday January 2nd Hank and I headed to the hospital for a Dr appointment. After meeting with my doctor we were told that I needed to be induced that day because of a pregnancy complications that was putting both the baby and I in danger. Not sure if I walked or if the butterflies in my stomach flew me out of the doctor office and down the hall  into the labor and delivery wing! Once we got there we were led into our room and all the fun got started.

The BEST delivery nurses!

His first cry was heard by ALL!
My baby boy was born with a good set of lungs

Poor little guy got stuck for a bit so he had a pretty bad cone head for the day

      Proud Daddy!                                                              Proud (tired) Mama!

First family picture!

So grateful my mom was there with us! Couldn't have made it through without her!
Saturday January 3rd at 10:43 a.m. Grant Hank Bingham came into our family and has changed our lives forever!   My heart feels like it has doubled in size; I can't explain how much I love this little man!
Huge thank you to my friend Hez for the pictures!

Pre baby date

Saturday night Hank and I were supposed to go to Utah for a family Christmas party, but sadly I didn't feel I could make the drive down and back home all in one day. That's a long drive for a fat pregnant lady. I was totally bummed because I love seeing Hanks family down there. Instead of staying home and having a pity party for myself hank and I decided to get a date in before the baby comes. We went and saw the movie Unbroken (great movie) then after we ate some dinner at Sheri's. The food sucked but I couldn't have asked for better company!
The life Hank and I have come to know the past 4 1/2 years is soon to change. As nervous as we both are we couldn't be more excited for this new journey.
sure love this man of mine!!! (don't mind my sleepy puffy face)

Auntie time

My oldest sister and mom took a trip to visit my aunt. So I got to have two of my nephews stay with Hank and I for a couple days. It was a good little prep for my future with a little boy. (my future looks to be busy) boys are so much fun. The boys had fun doing different things on the farm
to start off..... we let "animals" in our house. Gotta love old farm houses.

playing at the park
after we had ice cream with uncle hank
We spent lots of time at my in laws house (that's where all the animals are). We got to spend time with horses cows.

no horses rides for this guy. Darn allergies!

finger painting fun
Uncle Hank teaching Carter to rope

These boys got up early so they could go feed cows with Hank. (no girls allowed...... how rude!)
headed to work in the pickup.

I love being a aunt, and getting to spend time with these boys just made me love it even more.
