Grant's new do

I finally gave in and gave Grant his first haircut.
It was past time for a haircut. His mohawk had turned more into a shark fin

Happy half a decade anniversary!

The last week in March we were about to take our anniversary trip to Boise. This was our first trip with a baby and overall it went great! I thought we did such a good job at getting everything we needed packed....and we DID get everything we needed packed. Just not everything we packed packed into the car. Of everything to forget we left Grants bag sitting beside his crib. So Grant got to go on a mini shopping spree to get him set for the weekend.

Of course you can't go to Boise and not go into Cabela's.
The face I always get when I take out my camera. Cant you tell he loves me taking his picture ;)

The hat i packed in the diaper bag was still a wee bit on the big side. But it did the job. ha ha
Grant is a little fishy baby! He LOVED the pool!

Love my Family
Hard to believe its been 5 years already!  So much has happened in 5 years. I have felt such amazing joy through the years and some heartaches, but along the way I couldn't imagine a better man to have by my side to share it all with!

Grant's big day

February 22  Hank blessed our sweet little Grant. Grant and I are so lucky to have a husband and daddy who is able to hold the priesthood. That morning Hank got up and went to fees cows. A little bit later I started getting Grant in his little white outfit ....trying to time everything just right to make sure we would have a happy baby. So come 10:30 he was fed, fresh diaper (praying for no blowouts), and I was getting him in his car seat in hopes he would sleep for the next hour and a half.....and guess what!...he did! Hank and I both feared he would scream through the whole thing, but Grant was in a special sweet mood that day and we were so proud.   It was such a wonderful day. Big thank you to both our families that traveled to share that special day with us.

Had 15 pictures taken not one with us looking at the same camera.

Wasn't loving the photo shoot.

Such a handsome little dude!
Hank and I are so blessed to be parents to this amazing little boy.

1st month

Life has changed so much since Grant came. I never knew I could love someone so cute, so demanding, so sweet, so grumpy, so funny, somtimes so stinky, so good smelling..also sometimes, so loud, and still....soooo perfect!

Meeting uncle Whit for the first time

How this guy sleeps...always with his hands straight up in the air.

Hands still straight up

So perfect!

I blinked and that first month had already past. Time is going by so fast and I can't believe how fast he is growing.

At the hospital

After Grant was born we ended up having to spend four days three nights in the hospital. That was more then plenty of time for me.  But now as I look back, those four days were so special! We had four days were we had no choice but to do nothing..... no places to be.......no house to clean....no dinner to cook... nothing. Four days with nothing but Grant to fill up our time. I think my most treasured thing about those four days was having Hank with me the whole time. I am so incredibly grateful for Hank's job, but being a farmer/rancher he is gone a lot with no days off. So having my whole family together for those days were amazing. I was on a rollercoaster of emotions , a bed full of ice packs and had a body covered in IV's during our stay at "hotel" ST. Lukas. So seeing Hank stepping up to take care of Grant was so special. Every time Grant would cry Hank would be the one to jump up to get him, either to rock him or bring him to me to eat.

All hooked up and ready to get the show started (little did I know it was going to be a very looooong show)

Sweet little burrito baby

Grant had a few visitors come to meet him. Grandpa and Grandma Bingham came to visit but I haven't been able to get the pictures off my camera to work. So I will post the rest of those later.
All the Bingham cousin in one chair. These kiddos were so cute. They both were so excited to take turns to hold Grant.
